Fear of a Brown Planet

This Sunday we have the critically acclaimed ‘Fear of  a Brown Planet’ gracing our stage.

Fear of a Brown Planet is comic duo, Aamer Rahman and Nazeem Hussain, winners of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) Best Newcomer Award, in 2008.

In 2010, Aamer and Nazeem’s new show, Fear of a Brown Planet Returns, performed to sold out audiences, including additional shows as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Aamer performed in the Oxfam Comedy Gala televised on Channel Ten in 2010, whilst Nazeem performed in the Cracker Night of the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala, televised on the Comedy Channel.

Aamer and Nazeem also perform throughout the year, as part of Melbourne’s Political Asylum.

He is revered by fans and fellow comedians alike and is consistently mentioned in any list of Australia’s most exciting up and comers. His blunt, brazen but likeable style has seen Qurik described as a “chainsaw with cheekbones”. 

MC’d by one Australia’s most talented comedy writers TOMMY DASSALO. Tommy has a comic sensibility beyond his years and has consistanly impressed critics, attracting glowing festival reviews year after year.

MELINDA BUTTLE yo! Mel was one of the most talked about shows at this year’s Melbourne comedy festival and earned herself a prestigious best newcomer nomination.

And national raw comedy winner NEIL SINCLAIR pops into do a short spot amidst his Melbourne Fringe run of his show ‘Neil’s Electrics’.

Harley is one of the most commanding comedy performers touring the country today. Harley was blessed by the comedy gods with the mind of a confused nice kid who voluntarily helps senior citzens, but the physical appearance of a hells angels bikie. Harley is one of the most forceful comedy figureson the club and festival circuit but has more than enough grace to headline our small candle lit room by the fireplace.

Adam has performed all over Australia, Britain and the USA. He began his gossip queen career as Triple J’s Mister Bitch and has spent the last six years as The Fabulous Adam Richard, part of Melbourne’s Number 1 FM breakfast team, the Matt and Jo Show on 101.9 Fox FM. Adam has appeared as a guest on such embarrassing ventures as Celebrity Dog School, Hole in the Wall, and The Footy Show. He has also appeared in more classy fare, like Sleuth 101, Rove and Spicks and Specks. We’re thrilled to be graced by fabulous Adam Richard as our host this Sunday.

Matt Kenneally is far and away Melbourne’s funniest political comedian. Kenneally’s skill is in his ability to present insightful, hilarious commentary from a point of view that you hadn’t even realised was available until he told you.

Amidst a national tour of thousand seat venues, Josh will spend this Sunday in front of 60.
